Come to the lesson with an open mindset and prepared to learn.
Complete any homework or practice assignments.
Respect the teacher.
Pay close attention to all corrections and guidance from the instructor.
BE ON TIME.
Notify the teacher at the start of the lesson or at anytime if you are injured, experience any pain in your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, etc... or have any problems or discomfort.
Hands must be freshly cleaned and fingernails trimmed and clean; long fingernails are prohibited.
Hair must be well-groomed and must not interfere with vision or ability to remain focused during the lesson.
Take time to mentally and physically prepare yourself by self-reviewing information from the previous lesson and warming your hands by playing.
Please remain focused during the entire lesson. Lesson time is very valuable and must not be wasted.
Gum chewing, as well as, eating or drinking is prohibited during the lesson.
Remember to always be courteous and use good manners. Cover your mouth if you have to cough or yawn, sit straight and maintain good posture.
Remove any bracelets, rings or other jewelry that might interfere or be a distraction.
If taking piano lessons, never set anything on the piano.
